So many equestrians are asking the same questions you are:

  • How do we really put the horse first?
  • How do I know whether my horse is happy and sound?
  • How do we prioritise connection over compliance?
  • Who can I turn to with all these questions?

This is your chance to join a group of like-minded people. You will have the opportunity to access valuable resources and learn from my 13 years in the equine industry as an equine scientist (BSc, MSc), while connecting with others in my community, away from mainstream social media.

At our live integration calls we will discuss your thoughts, answer your questions or what is happening in the equine world.

One membership for everything. €37/month, €360/year. Cancel any time.

The Six Pillars of Soundness™

The Science for Soundness Collective is grounded in the Six Pillars of Soundness™ — a framework that helps you understand why things are happening, not just what to do.

Each pillar connects directly to your horse’s day-to-day experience.

Physical Soundness

→ Recognise physical discomfort and tension before they turn into training or behaviour problems.

Learn to see the early signs of pain, compensation and physical stress — so your horse doesn’t have to escalate to be heard.

Mental Soundness

→ Understand how your horse processes information, pressure and learning.

Move away from overload and confusion — and toward clarity, timing, and fairness in how your horse is asked to engage.

Emotional Soundness

→ Recognise stress responses before your horse shuts down, explodes, or disconnects.

Learn to read emotional states accurately, so behaviour stops being a mystery and starts making sense.

Spiritual Soundness

→ Reconnect with meaning, trust, and purpose in your relationship with your horse.

For those moments when everything looks “fine” on the outside — but something essential feels missing.

Social Soundness

→ Understand how relationships, herd dynamics, and human interaction affect your horse’s sense of safety.

Because no horse exists in isolation — and neither do we.

Environmental Soundness

→ See how surroundings, management, and daily context influence regulation and wellbeing.

Small environmental shifts can make a profound difference to how a horse feels and functions.

True soundness is never just physical — and lasting change happens when all six pillars are considered together.

Real Words From People Who've Been Here

Alysen & Sophie

"I now feel equipped to notice these signals before they escalate... Steffi is kind and grounded; I felt comfortable, safe, and supported."

Nathalie & Smarty

"With the help of Steffi I have gone from horse newbie to stable owner in just two years. The amount of empathy and knowledge she brought into our lives is incredible."

Lara & King

"Steffi really helped me let go of the fear of failing at anything with my horse. I now know that we have everything it takes."

Susi & Bär

"I met Steffi at a horse congress in Cologne, and during her talk I could barely hold back tears — her words hit me right in the heart."

Svea & Cosi

"I didn't know I was able to tune into my emotions whilst also interacting with horses. That never used to be an option before, but it changed everything."

Petra & Fly

"Steffi gave me one message I remind myself of every day: 'I can create the best possible conditions for my horse, but how she lives there is entirely her own responsibility.' That changed how much I worry, completely."

Marika

"I felt seen and understood by her — which is exactly what I needed."

Svenja & Ginny

"Dressage training with my mare felt completely stuck — I was ready to give up. Through her thoughtful, non-judgemental questions, Steffi helped me find solutions that actually considered both of our needs."

What You'll Find Here

No 8-week promise, no straight line from A to B — because your horse isn't a formula, and neither are you.

I built this because I got tired of watching people (myself included, for years) collect more and more information about horses and still feel stuck, chasing a finished picture through a mold that simply doesn't fit everyone.

What actually changes things isn't more information. It's a framework that helps you make sense of what you already know, plus somewhere to bring the messy, real, ongoing stuff — not just once, but for as long as you need to and then to move forward with it. At your own pace.

Here's what's waiting for you inside.

Foundations of Soundness — your starting point. The full framework, delivered as your core curriculum. The Six Pillars of Soundness™ — Physical, Mental, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, Environmental — taught as one coherent system, not six separate ideas. Go through it at your own pace.

The full library — go deeper when you're ready. Understanding Stress in Horses, From Paddock to Paradise, A Journey to Self, and Clarity & Connection — included. Explore at your own pace.

Plus, a monthly live call. Bring what's actually happening. A new behaviour, a stuck moment, a question you can't shake. We look at it together, through the Six Pillars, in real time.

A community space that holds the work. A calm, safe and private space (away from social media and algorithms) with people who are asking the same questions you are. No performance, no judgement — just people learning to see and to be, together, with their horses.

Plus, member-only 1:1 access. Members can book individual sessions with me at €65 (usually €111) — for whatever's coming up as you go that needs more personal support.

Who's Welcome Here

Anyone who's tired of guessing and wants a clearer way to see what's actually going on.

Anyone who senses their horse is telling them more than the surface behaviour lets on.

Anyone who wants structure without rigidity — a framework, not a formula.

Anyone who wants somewhere to bring real, ongoing situations, not just finish a course and be left on their own.

Anyone who's ready to be met exactly where they are, not on a one-size-fits-all timeline.

Whoever you are, wherever you're starting from — come on in.

How To Join

Both include full access to Foundations of Soundness, Understanding Stress in Horses, From Paddock to Paradise, A Journey to Self, Clarity & Connection, monthly live calls (recorded if you miss them), the community space, and member pricing on 1:1 sessions.

Instructor(s)

MSc Equine Science, ESMT Steffi Spielhaupter

I created Science for Soundness® because I kept seeing the same thing: horse owners who cared deeply, trying hard, and still feeling like something wasn't quite adding up. Not because they were doing it wrong. But because they were missing a coherent way to see the whole picture. I'm an Equine Scientist and Equine Sports and Massage Therapist. Horses have been part of my life since I was eleven years old — and since founding Science for Soundness® in 2014, I've dedicated that work to helping horse owners move beyond guessing and into genuine understanding. The Six Pillars of Soundness™ grew out of that work. Not as a theory, but as a living framework — shaped by real horses, real struggles, and the profound shifts that happen when you finally start seeing clearly. I live with my herd in northern Germany. They are my greatest teachers and the reason this work continues to evolve.
